Increasingly full of life – whether it’s through the creation of even more cultural events, music and concerts, events spread throughout the Porto region, museums with the most incredible exhibitions such as Alexander Calder and Joan Miró, classic museums of natural history and science, and much, much more.
Below you’ll find a short list of coming events that we will have in Porto, and that we are sure you will love to know about!
‘Serralves em Festa’ (Serralves in party mode) is a contemporary art festival featuring performing arts, concerts, visual arts, dance, theater, new circus, and exhibitions for 50 consecutive hours. The festival will take place at the Serralves Foundation.
It happens every year, and this year it will be from May 31st to June 2nd – not to be missed!
Guindalense is a football association that owns a small café/bar in Fontaínhas, a privileged location with an unobstructed view of the Douro River.
It’s one of those popular spots for Porto residents; we love a good ‘tasco‘ where you can relax, have a drink, listen to music, and enjoy a beautiful spring/summer sunset.
This is “that” festival! It’s a music festival that connects the natural beauty of ‘Parque da Cidade’ (City Park) with views of Matosinhos beach, and big headliners.
Three fantastic days in June, mark the dates June 6th, 7th and 8th, with SZA and PJ Harvey closing the night on the first day.

The ‘São João‘ people’s festival is celebrated on the night of June 23rd to 24th.
It’s a celebration of St. John the Baptist, with a dedicated regional holiday in city of Porto, where every different neighborhood hosts a community celebration.
You can find festivities, food, carousels, and a stage where traditional Portuguese music (also known as “pimba” music) is played. This is the night where the aroma of sardines fills the air, where you can sample Portuguese cuisine that combines the fantastic mix of sardines, cornbread, pepper salad, boiled potatoes, accompanied by a delicious “fino” (a freshly poured beer in a glass).
