Porto is the second largest city in Portugal and the one that gave its name to the country. Since 1996, its historic center has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A city with historical monuments, centuries-old bridges, parks, the sea, and the magnificent Douro River. Not to mention the region’s typical gastronomy, namely the famous regional specialties: from the Francesinha, to Tripas à Moda do Porto and Bacalhau à Gomes de Sá.

In 2001 it was considered the European Capital of Culture. Also famous for its Port wine cellars, the quality of its restaurants, and its gastronomy, the city also has several renowned cultural spaces such as the Serralves Museum, the Casa da Música, the Lello Bookstore, and others.

A vibrant city known for its arts, research, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Porto was elected the Best City Break Destination in Europe in 2020, and the best European destination in 2017 for the third consecutive time.

B28 Apartments is an Aparthotel-sreviced Local Accommodation (AL).

We are in the heart of Porto, next to Largo de São Domingos and Escadas da Vitória, 100 m from Ribeira.

We love to make our guests feel at home and we do everything we can to make sure the have a memorable experience. We prioritize comfort and simplicity. Each guest is unique to us.

Children are very welcome.

Babies and children up to 3/4 years old:

• Babies and children up to the age of 3/4 are accommodated in a travel cot and are our guests; older children stay in an extra bed at an additional cost of 40€.

Families with more and/or older children:

• O 5th floor apartment has two single beds on the mezzanine and is best suited to families with older children.

Small children up to 7/8 years old:

• If you have young children up to the age of 7/8 any of the other apartments give, the only one that cannot receive children is 1B.

Yes. When booking directly, we include the ingredients so that you can prepare a simple, homemade breakfast in apartment and enjoy your home in Porto ! We use organic and seasonal ingredients, we always leave slow-fermented bread, butter, homemade jam, fruit, we don’t add milk. We use products available in season. Sometimes we leave eggs, yogurt and homemade granola. Tea and coffee are always available in each apartment for all guests.

We don’t have parking, like practically all the buildings in the in historic center. However, there are several options for parking nearby. Either on the street at parking meters or in parking lots.

The closest park is the Ferreira Borges Market park, but expensive!

O Crystal Palace Park is the cheapest. There are other parks closer to the B28, such as the Palácio da Justiça Park next to the courthouse. To enter this park you have to be careful, you have to pass in front of the emergency room at Hospital Santo António and watch out for the traffic lights, go down behind the Palácio da Justiça and then up the street just in front of Cooperativa Árvore. The entrance to the park is on the right-hand side and the Praça de Lisboa Park.

You can always try parking in Passeio da Virtudes, Largo das Taipas, Largo de São João Novo all have parking meters and the rates are cheaper than those on Rua Ferreira Borges.

Check-in is done in person, usually between 4 pm and 7 pm. We allow later check-ins, subject to our availability.
We appreciate you always letting us know in advance your time of arrival here, so that we can have someone ready to check you in.

After 10 PM, check-in is considered late and a fee will be charged.

Our reception is open from Monday to Friday, between 9 am and 5 pm.
It may be possible to leave your luggage with us until check-in is available; however, always ask about this option, as we will need to schedule it (only possible Monday through Friday, while the reception is open).

Please, always contact us at least one day before your arrival to ensure a smooth and unhurried check-in.

In case we’re not available to keep your luggage until check-in time, there are lots of lugagge lockers nearby. The closest one is a city locker. Access this information below.

There’s plenty of places for dinner around here.

We like Viva Creative Kitchen, Traça (here below in wide), the Sêmea of Chef Vasco Coelho dos Santos, of the Reitoria from Mistu of Rogério do Redondo a little further away and a few more…

On the riverside on the way to Foz, there are two very nice pizzerias ‘Nhac-Nhac‘ e ‘Casa D’Oro‘.

In Foz, Wish, Bocca, Cafeína, Terra and Ichiban.
Lapa Lapa in Molhe and Praia da Luz have fantastic sea views!

In Matosinhos, the best place to eat fish and seafood, the Gaveto and Marisqueira Antiga are our recommendation, but there are plenty….

We also recommend a visit to Casa da Guripa. It’s a 20-minute drive from Angeiras, a fishing village just north of Porto. It’s very good!

Places to have a drink in the late afternoon.

• MiraJazz;
• BASE (in Jardim das Oliveiras, Clérigos)
• Capela Incomum (it used to be a chapel that was turned into a bar, very nice! it’s between Santo António hospital and Miguel Bombarda) 
• Aduela, in Carmo.
• Rota do Chá in Miguel Bombarda (for a snack and even in the late afternoon)

In Foz:

• Praia da Luz;
• Gondarém Beach;
• I Bar

On Boavista Avenue:

• Café Corcel (next to Pinheiro Manso) was an old café that recently reopened. It has traditional snacks, pizzas and convent sweets

Around B28, there are plenty of sites with touristic interest:

• Stock Exchange Palace;
• Church of San Francisco;
• House of the Infant;
• Ribeira;
• Port Wine cellars (the other side of the river – Gaia)
• ‘São Bento da Vitória’ Monastery;
• The Old Jail of Appeal, now the Museum of Photography;
• ‘Torre dos Clérigos’ (it’s worth climbing to the top of the tower, if you have the breath for it, to see the view);
• ‘Clérigos’ Church;
• São Bento Train Station;
• ‘Sé do Porto’ – Porto’s Cathedral.

Going up by cable car in Gaia (with a beautiful view) leads to the Morro garden, cross the Luís I bridge through the upper deck, before going to the ‘Sé’ Cathedral, it’s worth going to Guindais, to ‘Guindalense’ for a “very typical” drink, then go through SÉ/’Episcopado’ down to the ‘Grilos’ church (huge Baroque façade but with a small body, in a small square for the size of the façade, very characteristic of the Baroque) with beautiful views, right next to it is ‘Largo da Pena Ventosa’, and then go down the medieval alleys that lead to ‘Mouzinho da Silveira’ street, next to ‘Largo São Domingos’.
