It was in 2012 that we entered the building for the first time, in the heart of the Historic Centre of Porto. Despite the general state of degradation, the building preserved some original elements, such as the fantastic central staircase, some stucco ceilings, doors and interior shutters in carved wood, elements that, from the beginning, we wanted to preserve.

Discover our street history. It was laid by Dominican friars and appears by its name in the 16th century. At the time it would have been a crossing situated just before the Largo de São João Novo, The Belmonte azuleijo tile pattern (after which the street was named after) can still be seen on the buildings where it has survived to this day…
