It was in 2012 that we first entered in building, in the heart of the Historic Center of Porto. Despite the general state of disrepair, it still retained some original elements, such as the fantastic central staircase, some stucco ceilings, interior doors and shutters in carved wood, which we wanted to preserve from the start.

Discover our street history. It was laid by Dominican friars and appears by its name in the 16th century. At the time it would have been a crossing situated just before the Largo de São João Novo, The Belmonte azuleijo tile pattern (after which the street was named after) can still be seen on the buildings where it has survived to this day…
